Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved the book series "Little House on the Prairie." I used to wish I was Laura Ingalls Wilder (well... maybe I STILL do!). The strong family values and stories spoke of a lifestyle that is missing from today's society. Not that I think we need to do without technology and live back in the prairie days, but I do believe that we need to never take for granted the little things in life.
I love making our "little house" a home. Simple seasonal decorations and crafts give our house a "home-y" feeling. I enjoy making our house a place where my husband can come home to and just relax after a busy day at work. I am very thankful that my husband is a hard worker and a great provider. He has allowed me the privilege of staying home, and because of that, I am able to greet him with a clean home and dinner on the table the moment he walks in the door.
This way of thinking may be antiquated, but this happy housewife is not complaining of her role in life. I enjoy taking care of my family and making our "little house" a home.
Please enjoy following me through my journey as a wife and a child of God.
